Yesterday I rode 8 miles to the city centre and back with boxer's probably two sizes too small on.
It felt very very far.

DFP, I did that the other day. Just the 1 mile to work felt like 50. Learnt my lesson, from now on, baggy boxers while cycling.

Funny you should mention tight boxers. I bought some 'hipster' boxers from Primark. Extra large, to be on the safe side, or so I thought. I spent 9 hours at a desk having my nadgers strangled :( It was tightness I'd never experienced before but I was thankful that I didn't buy medium

I just cycled through the pouring rain for about 2 hours, and my feet went for a swim, in my shoes.

125 miles on Monday, 110 yesterday, 150 planned for tomorrow. Will do a 50-miler after lunch today, but that doesn't really count.

15 miles steady spin, followed by an 8 mile training run with a mate running the Edinburgh Half Marathon.
Been a week or so since i put some impact into my schedule. Probably won't be able to move tomorrow... -

Back from Stratford on wednesday, my route was about 30 miles, breaking in the new IRO. Realised I need a new saddle.

I don't care if you knew you could do it or not. The fact that you wanted to do it means you must be mad. Nuff respect to you!

Very impressive James, I live in balsall heath too. Not sure if ive seen you or your bike around?
Didnt know there was such hardcore cyclists about.
Have you ever heard of the Crand Union Canal race? Seems like a bunch of mostly old folk race 145 miles from Birmingham to London on foot!
If thats possible surely anything is. Ive still not ridden a bike more than 30 miles or so though.

I've heard of that race. There MAD! I ride either a black Pearson Touche (which I used on Saturday) or a black Cotic Roadrat.

Ah my god. I ride one of those as well. Bare uncomfortable. i don't know how you did that kind of distance on such a stiff bike. That just proves that you're definitely mad.
