In a normal week, that's almost my weekly coffee budget. And that's freshly ground quality beans.
Buying coffee 'out' has never been within my means - at least not as part of a daily routine/lifestyle.
But £1.40 for an espresso is not bad for the locale, particularly as they're an independent, and they offer a unique environment (as Jacqui said).
