  • james can you save me a long one please? I won't be able to make mitch tonight.

But yeah no worries, i'll save you one of the woods.

  • James, I'll take one of the woods, or the longest of the irons. Won't be at Mitch tonight, but i can collect from you at some point soon.

Cool that leaves only one wood now I think, do you want one or two?

I can deliver if you want, if you're localish?

  • I will bring some irons for people to look at, and your wood along to mitchinson later Rik.

  • nice one smurf may check one of your clubs out.

  • Hey skoota and plays well with otters, when are you looking to collect your clubs guys? I'm in the Shoreditch area today.

  • Otters is in MCT, so no today

  • ahh ok no worries, cheers.

  • still got a few of these bad boys left, also not sure where to put it, but this popped up on the prolly blog, you guys in Rouen:

  • Bumpity bump, still got a few left, if anyone is in need :) 3 for £10 now as well!

  • Still got 6 of these left, still happy to do 3 for a tenner, or if someone wants to take all 6 we can call it £15

  • Bumping this thread to ask a question.

How well do golf clubs work as polo mallets, unmodified.

Im guessing a wood might be OK for hitting a ball, anyone tried it?

  • A steel shaft will last longer - graphite tend to snap more easily (mine lasted one game, others have had them longer). A wood is good for length, but anything will do depending on how long you like your mallet. I've used Dunlop 3 Woods for a while and really like the whip in them. I use a small 50mm dia. head, it feels weird to put a heavy head on a light shaft, but that's just my preference.

    (wood. shaft. head. fnar)

  • I said wood & unmodified because that is what I meant. A unmodified golf club.

It seems you mean sticking something else on the end, I was just wondering if hitting the ball with a regular golf club is pheasible for a game of polo.

  • since I star playing, I have never seen one in the court.
Maybe older players have, in the paleolíticos times of the sport, but no in modern times
