Some cool photos there. For me it paints quite a grim existence. Quite stark photographs, helped no end by the use of B&W. Is that what you were going for?

Cheers for the feedback.
Yeah, definately didn't want to portray couriering as the hippest, funnest thing to do on your fixe skidder bike that's for sure.
It's really my first project working with people. I usually photograph decrepit and decaying old buildings and the like so that mood/approach has probably transfered across. -

I like the blurb service. But who gets most of the royalties? You would think this is a nice way to bypass the publishers, but apparently it's not. Shipping takes an age too! It will be a nice surprise when I get it though...

Haha awesome!
Can't believe my photos are gonna be on someone's coffee table!
There's a mix of scanned 35mm and digital.
Mainly because as much as i love my digital camera it's way too heavy to be hauling around on my bike all the time, the 35mm camera was a lot easier to use for the 'action' shots.
Blurb do the publishing and printing and stuff.
I think there are cheaper options but iv seen the books from Blurb and they are nice quality. -

I don't.
It's Tom Mcguire and Scott Galloway.
I knew both of them before they were couriers and approached them when i came up with the project.
I'v gotten know a few more of them and they're all really sound guys though so maybe for the next book... -

Very nicely done mechanical_vandal. Reminds me of those days of lying in bed, and calling in on the radio..."Papa 24, empty Oxford Circus". Then when a job came in, a huge mad rush to get the clothes on, the pre-prepared peanut butter and jam sandwiches, and a 2L bottle of homemade iced coffee into my Timbuk2. 4 minutes to get ready, leaving 16 minutes for the pick-up, which was always central, so always done within the alloted 20 minutes.
Best job I'll ever know. Done for the rush, and the camraderie,....never the money.

I hope its not scratch'n'sniff.
good luck with it.
When i say published i mean through Blurb.com
It's my final unit for college and i wanted to present it as a book, good thing about Blurb is that you can make your books available for other people to buy too.
It's just images, i aint really all that handy with words.
So if anyone fancies a photobook about couriering in Glasgow
http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/1321265
If you buy a copy i get a couple quid and as i'm currently unemployed that'd be handy.
You can think of it as charity if it makes you feel better. :)
