  • IS anyone up for going to the Platt Fields Bmx track? Think it would benefit polo players mostly as its a good way of gaining bike skills, but it would be open to any one who fancied it. If there's enough interest I'll contact the club and try organise something.

  • YES!!! (kinda, might pee myself)

  • Definitely on it.

I've referbed Woodys old racing bmx and I am WELL up for it.

  • were you thinking of sharing your skills? ill def come, im interested

  • im in
i am also hinking of organisng a speedway trip to the one in manchester if anyone is down

  • Intrigued - never willingly having gotten rubber off of terra firma...

  • sounds good, you dont have to book we can just turn up on an evening and pay a few quid, what bike you using mirek? we found full size mtb wheels were too big and it was better suited to bmx or 24"

  • what were the problems you had with 26" wheels voidcore?

  • Okay Ste was thinking that too, it'd be nice to have it to ourselves but its quiet most of the time we should get a few more people together then choose a night when we're all free. I'm going to ride my polo bike and maybe change the gearing or hire a 24" if they have em.

I know its on a massive hill but check these guys larging it up

  • I'm keen to be part of this, even though the time I took my mountain bike through a BMX track (not dissimilar to the one in the video) I didn't look anything like these guys. Even the ones falling off looked more elegant. I will accept any advice going oh great polar bears.

  • you can hire bikes there for like £2 cant you?

  • ill go if i can hire/borrow a bike, ive ridden on the bmx track on my polo bike after climbing over the fence and royally fucked myself up so gonna use a bmx if i go back (it woz the bike wot did it guv, honest!)

  • what were the problems you had with 26" wheels voidcore?

there too big to fit the jumps properly, plus everyone knows there for gayers

  • picked up a disclaimer before. "riders must ..take full responsability for their actions...all riders must wear helmets, gloves, jeans, long sleeved tops and rubber-soled trainers...when racing must wear a full-face helmet, elbow and knee pads"
the guy told me that he'd lend me the helmet and knee/elbow pads.

    lets go this weekend?

  • im up for it, can ride my bmx :)

  • I can ride my lil bros BMX? I so want to see how long it takes for the wheels of a £60 halfrauds bike to fall off.

    sounds good, dependent on weather?

  • I can't come then, I have a date with my wife on the phone (time zones, UK vs USA) but depending on how long we talk I will try to come by a bit later with a camera at least.
