yeah, this was so aimed at novices who are scared of the road nothing I had to say could be of benefit to the survey, so I gave up half-way through.
One gets the impression that the whole approach is wrong-headed. What we don't need is more fucking signs, orders for cyclists to go a different way to the one they want to go to, more paint, more hi-viz and helmets, and more reinforcement that roads are for motorists and cycling is dangerous. Which seems to be the industry that is building itself up around TfL and cycling.
What we need is to ban HGVs from zones 1 & 2 at rush-hour, get strict liability brought in, and educate pedestrians to look before they cross the damn road.
Nothing in the survey about that.
