Here are some resources for those coming over to Amsterdam for the tournament next weekend.
ARRIVAL
For those arriving at Schiphol, it is possible to ride the whole way from the airport into Amsterdam using bike lanes the entire way. Here is the route I tend to use: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3683971
I will definitely be doing one ride out to the airport to pick people up on Friday afternoon, and I'll time this to try and bring as many people back as possible. (Please let me know what time you get in if you want to ride). Either way, it's not a difficult route to navigate on your own.
If you prefer to take the train into Amsterdam, keep your bike in the bag. Trains are very frequent. Amsterdam Centraal is the main station in the centre; Amsterdam Zuid is the closest station to the court. Both stations are served by frequent trains and its about a 10 minute ride and costs 3 or 4 EU.
As you already know, the Olympic stadium will also be the finish for he Giro d'Italia time trial on Saturday, so it'll be busy. On the up side there'll be a great atmosphere, food and drink stalls and toilets available.
THE WEBSITE:
Taka has been putting up lots of details on the website. Check out who is playing, rules, format, etc. right here: http://polomania.wordpress.com/
ACCOMMODATION:
You should have all been contacted individually about this, but hit me up with questions if you're unsure where you are staying.
