also spotted: this morning, early am, you, on something, us, sweaty and delirious from cycling. we shouted. you ignored us. DAS fail.

  • Teenslain Lambs Conduwhatsit street.

but who keeps locking their blue Klien outside Isleworth and syon school

    Have some + rep...

  • some guy on a polo bike wearing a hockey mask next to kennington park, THANKS FOR THE PUMP

  • Joe, saw you on Cable Street this morning. Missed you the last few days and wasn't able to give my gimpy 4-fingered wave/salute.

Blonde lady on the lime green Create I see every single day in the Limeharbour area going to work and coming home. I don't think she's on here but she is always caning it and rides like she loves it.

Guy on black Create with red front spok on Mansell street this morning looking pleased as punch but didn't do a skid.

A lady on a Pashley Princess I see regularly in the Canary Wharf area. Today I gave a bit of a smile and ineffectual head nod which was returned with a rather displeased look. She might have thought I was trying to look up her skirt.

And every pedestrian from Aldgate East tube stop up Leadenhall to the Holborn Viaduct is just as rude and oblivious to other people and modes of transport as I always saw when cycling. When I'm back on the bike I need to find a route to avoid that irritation.

  • Dude, are you walking all the way to Holborn from the IoD?!? Jesus H Christ!?!
I see that blonde girl most days... Do you see the rear Aerospoke guy, we exchange pleasantries now... And the Asian dude with Deep-Vs... They're all morning commuters on Cable Street, but coming from your direction, so I guess you won't see them very often...

  • Yeah I'm a full-on walkenger. According to Google maps I do 19 miles a day on foot counting my lunch walk to meet the Mrs for coffee.

I hate the tube that much and this is realistically the only exercise I'm getting now.

  • To the lad on the create who tried to keep up with me and over take me as I headed towards Stoke newington this evening, please get some foot retention and also get your rear wheel sorted so that it doesn't sound like its going to explode. Oh, and try some road sense aswell. Over taking someone whilst they slow down because they have seen that BMW X5 stopping to turn right, then panicking as you swerve because you can't slow down, is not a good look.

  • Rear Aerospoke guy rides a stealth bike? I see him occasionally on Cable street while I'm on foot but never did when I rode.

Does Asian Deep V man have white rims and a gold/copper coloured bike? Saw a guy with that combo for the first time at the beginning of the week.

  • It's pretty stealthy (maybe a red frame/black wheels?) and he's pretty grumpy... We say hi now... I guess he's seen me on four different sweet bikes over the last few months so I'm cool enough to talk to now...
    #whatever

  • Nah, I've seen a guy on an all black bike with drops and rear spok around Shadwell but I only catch him from behind. Fnar, fnar.

  • You're really getting the hang of this British 'humour' thing, Dale... ;P
Be good to see you out on the bike again soon, dude... I get a pang of empathy every time I ride past... Heal faster! x

  • No problem, I was 20 mins early for work (how??) so in no rush.

In extra spot-a-spot action news, I saw Digger waving at some guy in a bobble hat later on Brixton Road.

This works on so many levels, you appear to be spotting me in mid spot...

The Guy in the bobble hat is Eric and the bobble is re-placable, different colour depending on mood, like craaazy man.

  • just spotted Eggpie on a Paul Weller TV programme talking about couriering

  • I got DAS'd twice on Tredegar road today (the Orange Mercian, me in a red top and shorts), failed to comply both times. First time I was too far away/heard it too late, the second I had just sprinted back from Tower Bridge to see how fast I could do it, and the legs didn't feel up to it.

Hello sir, it seemed you'd heard "Do A Smile" nice to see you...

    Maybe tomorrow.

  • It's a date.

  • Brun last night on my way home. Good chatting to you. Arvy this morning on Marilabone Road.

Likewise PGM. Got a shout off Owen on the way in this morning n'all, apologies for slow reaction due to excessive speed. This early commuting is a damn sight more sociable than my normal hours, unfortunately there's a lot more twats around as well.

Also, does anyone claim ownership of the black-rimmed Peugeot locked on the central reservation of Kentish Town Rd outside opposite the Bullet Bar last night? Not a familiar sight, but me likey.

    this wasnt me =)

  • Saw a lady riding a pearson with shocking pink tyres this morning on horse guards. Certainly woke me up!

  • Two chaps sittin outside Monmouth this morning- one wearing a Rapha hat, the other with a copy of Fixed on the bench next to him.

I did not see any bikes nearby that looked like they belonged to them however.

  • Saw the smallest bike in the world being ridden by Spybot yesterday afternoon! Good to see you mate! Am i seeing you on the Guinness Ride?
