Yeah so the bikes aren't of the best quality.
But there's a massive number of brands out there punting similar or worse quality bikes for just as much. Apollo, Magna, Raleigh, Reebok, Shogun, British Eagle, Saracen etc.
Create and Unipack aren't doing anything new or shocking by producing cheap singlespeed/fixed gear bikes, they are catering to a market.
As far as the made in India thing goes, i used to own a Royal Enfield motorbike that was made in india.
I wanted a classic bike but couldn't afford a new triumph and couldn't be bothered looking for a decent 2nd hand bsa etc so i bought a new indian enfield.
It was pretty unreliable, the brakes were shit, the lights were dim, castings broke real easy etc. I probably spend a couple grand fixing things and keeping it going. Could have bought a triumph or something for what i spent i reckon.
Was it the end of the world? No. It was a cheap bike. I had a laugh with it, i got pissed off with it. I rode it for a while and sold it on and now own a higher quality bike.
Deal with it.
