sammyo there was something like very recently on the current projects thread. It is easily missed however.
Have a look here... http://www.freshtripe.co.uk/Freshtripe/Grips%20%26%20Tapes.html
That should do the trick.

Unfortunately, they're all a bit on the narrow diameter side for this:

think you'll be hard pressed to get grips matching the leather seat, unless you go with leather grips / tape
Why not just white ones?

I got myself some gusset bastard grips to match mine when I had one. Pic looked good but when they arrived they weren't the right colour.

Why are there so many retards that can't make their shit little minds up about shit little things like grips?
Anyway, what I want to know is are there any BB's that will work with both sugino messanger cranks and 75's appart from the standard sugino one? I'm cheap and I don't want to fork out £75 on a BB.
Thats my shit question over and done with forever

Yeah, I didn't necessarily mean a straight match - I was also interested in whether anyone had found a good complement.

I've searched not only this site but Google, repeatedly, trying to find pics of (a) any B17 users with flat bars; or (b) any flatbars with tape. If anyone is aware of any such pictures, I'd be grateful to be pointed in the right direction.
Apologies to those who are offended by this thread. I'm just looking for ideas. It may be trivial but I'm struggling to fit the final piece in my jigsaw and appreciate the advice.

I have a 50mile old pair of these if anyone wants them? [now taken by sLimJim]

I think they are awful - like riding around clinging to two wobbly toilet rolls.

In case the matter comes up again, I decided to go with caramel coloured Oury grips, which go surprisingly well (though not matching as such).
I'd still be keen to see any photos of bar tape on a flat bar.

BBB make some which are a fairly close match. They're normally the standard 130mm width; these were 95mm ones out of two 95/130 combo packs (sold for Gripshift) because Bromptons need narrower grips. I flogged the 130mm ones.

Hi, once again, I'm embarrassed to be starting this thread but grips. But I'm struggling to find any that suit my colour scheme of a light bluey-green and white bike with a honey Brooks saddle. Brooks make some but I'm not overly enamoured with them.
I have the Brooks grips and love them. They're very comfortable. But they won't stay honey long. Mine are honey and went brown the moment I appied neatsfoot oil. Anyway, the leather is edge-on and unprotected and all kinds of dirt can get in. Mine are pretty dark brown now from colour rubbed off my black leather riding gloves. The only way to keep them honey is apply no protection and not to use/handle/sweat on them; same applies to seat.
So, if maintaining the colour is important to you, that's another reason not to have the Brooks grips. Still, like the Brooks seats, it is almost impossible to think of anything more comfortable.

I have just used long strips of leather and wrapped them over cinelli gel cushion things, its dreamy.
By doing this you can select the exact colour and texture of leather you want, i have soft dark green leather that matches the colour of my frame and feels great even under sweaty palms. So much cheaper than Brooks or similar and you can use any excess leather to re-wrap or to make tool bags, make up bags etc.
PS. Nice Cock

Pashley do some nice leather grips. Matches the colour of a honey Brooks saddle quite closely, and nicer, cleaner finish than the Brooks grips ... pricey (RRP £50), though currently going at discountcyclesdirect.co.uk for £39.99
They use them on the Guvnor.

Hi, once again, I'm embarrassed to be starting this thread but I'm really stuck for ideas.
On advice, I'm switching to a flatbar, thus prompting a need for grips. But I'm struggling to find any that suit my colour scheme of a light bluey-green and white bike with a honey Brooks saddle. Brooks make some but I'm not overly enamoured with them.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Snide comments also welcome.
