  • Nah! I am a night crawler... Tis cool though. I understand if you boys don't want to ride in the evening!

  • Awh c'mon why don't you ever want to ride during the day?

  • I do want to! I got a son and a wife who I work all the hours god sends to look after but do not get to see as much as I would like too. You do the maths! If I could, I would be out riding bikes day and night all over the world. I wouldn't give a fuck! Friday night is my designated play time. I do keep trying to explain this to ya... Rant over!

  • I'm provisionally up for this (someone is threatening to have a birthday this weekend). Might have to ride geared though; the fixed isn't back in action yet.

  • Burn the witch!

  • Dont worry Colr, I'll be geared myself.

  • Anyone know what the on-the-day train fare from Cambs to Norwich is of the top of their head?

  • £14 or so

  • Mmmm reasonable.

  • I'll be doing it geared, probably with a pannier bag full of goodies as well. Either that or I might just take a little saddle bag and pack lightly.

What time shall we all meet then?

  • Assuming nothing changes, any time midday onwards suits. I'll be travelling as light as possible due to limited storage options.

  • Brilliant I still reckon we should head off around 130 - 2ish if that suits everyone?

  • Have fun chaps... Who is out on Friday night? Think I may need a new rear tyre before long. The red is starting to show through on my Randonneurs...

On a totally different note, we got our second scan at 4 today! I am so f*ckin excited! Its like getting a new bike, and finding out what colour its gonna be! Hahahaha!

  • I am out on Friday, but cherchez la femme not le vélo.

1.30 sounds good. Looks like Newmarket Road is our exit route so shall we meet at the Forum?

  • 1.30 at the Forum sounds fine, which side do you meet at (Bethel Street or Theatre Street?) Are people going to be going for full lycra, or more casual attire?

  • 1.30 is OK, if that's the earliest everyone will go. Just don't see why we can't do it in the AM and actually see a bit of Cambridge. Reckon we'll get there at 7.30 or so and have an hour before it starts getting dark.

It'll be the usual rag-tag collection. Casual as you want, or Lycra-d up to the nines, you'll be fine.

I think I'll be doing it fixed, and wearing MTB shorts and a t shirt.

  • Also, list...

    1. Dan
    2. Spence
    3. Sparky
    4. Colr

Sparky why don't you take the Thorn out for a spin?

I'll be lycra-d up and riding geared probably only packing a little tool saddle bag as well.

Oh also I might pick you guys up in Watton or Hingham if your route is anything like this

Also I'm happy to leave whenever suits you lot.

  • I'm happy to start earlier, good for any time from 10 here.

  • alright, i can be flexible too if thats the consensus.. 10.30?

  • Pissed, I'm out Friday evening, Tom is coming out to play too.

7.00 at the forum as per?

  • Hahaha, I know I am gonna (and regularly do) sound like a cunt, but isn't this the friday night ride thread?

    IS ANYONE IN THIS FRIDAY?

  • Hahaha, coolies... 7 is fine mate... Where we gonna head? Fancy riding to thetford and riding the main roads through the woods? Elveden as well. Them roads are lush...
