sorry for dragging up an old thread but is this right? how can it tighten/release the opposite way to the lock ring, is it double threaded?
i'm having the same problem the bloke in my local bike shop broke his chain whip trying to get it off the other day, i've just been back to tell him that it comes off in the opposite direction and he thinks i'm mad haha, he didn't have time to look at it today but he's going to have another round with it next week, but he says he wont be held accountable for any damage it causes so i'm just checking the info is right
