my daughter has one too ... i have tried this before .. the wheels are very difficult to remove
it'll be cheaper just to buy a new one and fit that -

i don't seem to be able to remove the wheel at all so would be unable to fit a new one on i have unscrewed the main wheel nut but the wheel will not just slide off thanks for the advice anyway.

can you not just pop the tyre off with the wheel still attached?
-
• #5
no i have tried that but the wheels are similar to wheebarrow type wheel and are in two parts
thanks anyway -

if you can't remove the wheel then just do a puncture repair with the wheel attached
remove one side of tyre
get the tube out patch it then pop it back in and re attach tyre
no need to get the wheel out at all
fix it in situ -

i am unable to get the tyre over the rim

post some pictures might give people an idea

have you tried using spoons ?
get more leverage than regular tyre levers
it'll pop off if you give it enough grief
that or dip it in hot water to " relax " the rubber -
• #10
will try that thanks for advice

Yeh it is an odd design. If you can't get the tyre off using the above methods you could always get some of that tyre repair stuff (canister type) from the garage. -

good idea thanks

Why can't you just split the rim using the bolts show if it's a rear puncture or remove the two bolts on either side to remove the front wheel?

I think can see a split pin or an R pin on the rear axle too if you want to just remove rear wheel then split the rim. Remove that (you may need to replace it with a new one after if you bend it too much) and the rear wheel will come off.
I feel like a complete muppet for having to ask this but my daughter has a trek trikester with a puncture in a rear wheel does anyone here know how to remove the wheel to enable dissassembly and innertube removal. i have utfs but there appears to be no information on the subject i would be greatful for any information people might have on this subject.
