Hi guys, this maybe covered in other threads and I did try to search but to no success but I think the topic is probably worth it.
Whilst cycling home today the guy in front got nocked off, was fine and his bike repairable. The driver was also very apologetic and cooperative.
The cyclist was cycling down the inside of the cars between the pavement and stopped traffic (the usual position) past the holiday inn on old street. A bookable taxi turned right between a small gap in the stopped traffic down. He couldnt see the cyclist and like wise until it was to late. Both the cyclist and car were going at low speeds.
I have nearly found myself in similar positions but managing to stop. What the main point is I think that maybe that lots of people need to be a really careful when cycling down the inside past junctions. I do alot of time try to go down the live side of stopped traffic but this obviously brings other dangers.
I do understand that cars need to understand that cyclists could be going down the inside but sometimes I think we all take this for granted. Just a little note because I hope that no one on here is seriously injured in the same situation.
