I know him from when I lived in Shakspeare Walk, he's a bit nuts, last time I walked over and was looking at an old pug he started banging on "it ain't nicked, it ain't nicked mate' (i hadn't even said anything), he wanted £200 quid for an old nail, I don't know where he gets his stuff from but it's overpriced and he's a mentalist

Cool, will stay clear. Was eyeing off an old town bike for the girlfriend but £150 for a pile of scrap metal was ridiculous.

In places like this; http://www.frankgbowen.co.uk/ an average mountain bike typically sells for around 10 quid. But will of course need fixing up. Quite possibly he gets it from somewhere like that and if so it's legit.

I live on Milton Grove. This guy is totally harmless, he just salvages scrap metal and other bits and bobs then tries to flog it at extortionate prices. He also repairs bikes. If he does have anything stolen, he probably buys it off the Shakespeare gang whom are so notorious in the area..

Prob an I saw you coming type, there is a similar style shop between new cross and lewisham that sells junk and furniture asked him about a crappy old table he looked at what I was wearing my bike etc and trys to sell me it for £200 quid. I'm sure if I went there the next day in a tracksuit etc he would have let me have it for a score

the guys definitely "A OK", my friend lives a few doors away and he jokingly asked the guy in the shop if he wanted to buy my bike, and he talked for ages about how he doesn't buy bikes off "individuals" like myself.
Just wondering if anybody has come across an old dude selling bikes (and many other bits) out of his tiny shop on the corner of Allen Rd and Milton Grove?
He has a tow truck out front and various bikes tied to a railing that are for sale. Also looked in his shop and it was stacked high with cheap mountain bikes and old townies/ladies bikes ect.
He might be a legit scrap collector but he wants silly prices for his bikes and there is always kids riding by and stopping in. But I swear I've seen the same 2 kids on different bikes (oversized ill fitting MTB's) and then the next day a BMX and then an old racer! Possibly selling to old dude?
Looks dodge to me.
Anyway, can anybody tell me if they know about this guy and if he's A OK or stay away?
Cheers!
