  • Unlike modern stems (for threadless forks) that look like scaffolding poles, quill stems are things of svelte beauty. Do not be deceived by their slender looks, they are more than up to the job. The only problem is that the part that sits in the steerer tube gets dirty very easily and will seize in the tube if not well lubricated beforehand.

    There is nothing more beautiful than the Cinelli Record stem with hidden handlebar bolt.
