Would I be mad running these on the road everyday, given the bad press about sheriffs? They are just so goddam tidy...

Good forum price.
The hubs alone would sell for this price on Ebay I reckon.
Would be a shame to split now.

I could be wrong, and I often am, especially after a beer or two, but Campag made BMX versions of these hubs in the 80's, so if they can withstand a wheelie and an endo they will be fine sauntering around East London...

i rode mine brakeless on my everyday bike for almost three years before they eventually splatted. granted, that's not an unequivocable endorsement of roadworthiness. but beauty is fleeting... i'd say go for it and enjoy them while you can.

I had a friend back in boston who rode a pair everyday for 2-ish years brakeless and on a larger gear. though i don't know how he's gotten on with them since i left, so i guess i don't know the end of that story...

Hi Hassan,
I'm interested in your wheels, although I've only just registered so I can't send you a PM for 24 hours. Please could you PM me if they are still available? davey at linres dot co dot uk
Many thanks,

... and i'll add that for those three years that i did ride them, they were the nicest, smoothest and prettiest things on the road. absolutely a dream to ride.
Trying these again, with a price drop...
I'm in london N4, pickup is preferred, but could maybe meet up if needed. and would rather not post these.
Campagnolo C-Record Track hubs laced to hard anodised Wolber GTX2 rims (clicher) - £300 SOLD
Hubs are extremely smooth, i got them used but i think they had minimal use, as the lacing marks on the flanges were barely visible, especially on the rear. The polished finish is mint and the threads are very clean. The rims are double eyeletted, were NOS when i bought them, so have only been laced the once, and never been trued (or needed it).
32 hole, laced 3 cross with silver DT Swiss Competition spokes. laced and fully serviced them at the end of this past summer, but have only ridden a maximum of 5 times, and very short distances at that (around clissold park). Had the intention of riding them on the track but never got around to it. You'll notice that the lacing on the rear wheel is off by one hole, this was how it must have originally been laced as i tried a variety of ways to get around it while still matching the precious lacing pattern to the offsets in the rim, but to no avail.
Comes with Specialized gumwall tyres, 18t surly cog, new campag track nuts and an almost new campag (only fitted once) lockring.
thanks for looking
