• My cousin has put me in charge of building him a bike, or finding one for sale. He's got a budget of up to £500ish and ideally would prefer a whole bike ready to go so he doesn't need to tweak anything too much, ie. it saves me doing lots of mechanical stuff when I haven't got a lot of time.

So, looking for something fixed, 56-58cm, wotcha got?

  • You should buy this and build it up...

58cm c-c, its an absolute bargain and, if you source the rest of the parts from the forum, it would keep you will in budget.

There is next to no skill in building up the bike and it will take you no time - I still remember when I sold a frame to TheCrane on this forum, he turned up with wheels, bars, seat, chain, crankset and 20 mins later rode off with a new bike.

Seriously, buy it, its cheap as chips.

  • i have a genesis flyer I was about to put up here, its a 56cm, most parts have been upgraded / switched including wheels which are now dt swiss 1.2 to system ex, a nearly new fsa vero chainset & bb. It has the stock stem & bars, and some fat carbon aero forks (aerus) on it. I'd like around 280£ for it, for another 100£ I could stick a thomson stem, nitto risers & oury grips, thomson seat post & black turbo lite saddle on it. Dunno if that's the style you're going for (solid & functional!) If interested I can post some pics tonight.
