    BENOTTO c1979
    Seat Tube (ctc): 23.25in (59cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22.25in (56.5cm)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 45mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
    Bottom bracket threads: Italian
This Benotto road frame from the late 1970s and finished in their Champagne gold colours is one of their top models and almost certainly built from Columbus SL tubing. The paint is pretty tatty but the frame is very sound. And it would make a very straightforward conversion. £125

    GILLOTT CONNISSEUR c1950
Seat Tube (ctt): 23.5in (59.5cm ctt)
    Top Tube (ctc): 23in (58cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Front Brake drop with 700C wheel: 64mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
    Wheel size: 27in or 700C
True Gillott frames are built to a very consistent high standard. This frame that dates from around 1950 is their Connisseur model - spearpoint lugs with wonderful windows. The lug edges are gorgeously crisp and the brazing is immaculate... A great frame that has recently been repainted and could simply be fitted with decals - there are a few chips to the paint most notably to the fork crown. £185

    MERCIAN ROAD FRAME 1956
    Seat Tube (ctt) : 52cm (20.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 60mm)
    Bottom bracket threads: English
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Very small road frames such as this are quite uncommon and this one is a real gem. Mercian frames are very nicely built and this one with Nervex Pro lugs is no exception. The paint is in excellent condition with only a few marks. It will make a very easy conversion. £125 **SOLD

    JACK HEARNE ROAD FRAME 1970s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
    Wheel size: 27s or 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 65mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a nicely built (quite possibly by Holdsworthy) road frame from the early 1970s. It has some touches such the cool wrapover seatstay tops. The paint is in in very useable condition though it has quite a number of marks. Its ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion with its long horizontal dropouts. £79

    PINARELLO FORMA AUDAx/SPORTIVE FRAME c1993
Seat Tube (ctc): 47cm (50cm ctt)
    Top Tube (ctc): 51cm (20in)
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
    Wheel size:27in or 700C (brake drop 53mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Pinarello Forma steel butted tubing
This is an extremely nice Pinarello Audax/Sportive frame built probably around 1993 with mudguard clearances for at least a 25mm tyre yet taking a standard deep drop Shimano dual pivot brake. A rare little frame. £125

    HARRY QUINN ROAD FRAME c1989
    Seat Tube (ctt) : 57cm (22.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C front and rear (brake drop of approx 45mm)
    Bottom bracket threads: British
    Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531C
This is really nice old school style Harry Quinn road frame from the late 1970s when Harry and his son were building in Tenby in Wales. The paint is in very good condition and the frame is really rather cool. Would make an excellent conversion to fixed or singlespeed. £125 **SOLD

    HOLDSWORTH WHIRLWIND ROAD FRAME 1952
    Seat Tube (ctt): 23in (58cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 116mm
Wheel size: 27s, Sprints or 700C front and rear (brake drop of approx 60mm)
    Bottom bracket threads: English
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This version of the Whirlwind fancy lugged frames was first named the Sirocco for the 1951 season but this frame I think dates from 1952 when it was named the Whirlwind. Its in very sound condition and can be repainted very straightforwardly without much filling. It will make a truly outstanding frame. £175 SOLD

    FLANDRIA ROAD/SPORTIVE FRAME 1980s
    Seat Tube (ctc): 53cm
    Top Tube (ctc): 54cm
    Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop of 50mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Flandria frames from Belgium are rarely seen in this country but are rather nicely built. This one has clearances for guards with 25mm tyres and has been nicely powder coated red. It could also be easily used as a fixed/singlespeed conversion. £125

    ROTRAX SUPERCOURSE ROAD FRAME 1953
    Seat Tube (ctt): 23.5in (59cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 23.5in (59cm)
    Rear dropout width: 115mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Wheel size: 27in or 700C (brake drop 64mm)
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Rotrax from Southampton built some really stunning frames in the 1950s - I personally think the Supercourse model was rather more attractive than the Concours (which was their top model). This frame is in very sound condition but does really need repainting. Once completed it will look really stunning. £175
