Wealthy chinese young people are the biggest suckers for designer labels & luxury tat ever.
A lot of young people in Hong Kong are massively into streetwear/hip hop stuff, including the dancing.
They buy all the streetwear hipster crap like Bape & Billionaire boys club stuff. There are very much "conventional" hipsters in Hong Kong too, as there is generally a lot of cool trendy people there. The culture is different though, not like the UK/USA style snobby hipsters. Just fashion/product driven coolness/trends. Hong Kong leads the way in terms of pop/youth culture that spills a little into mainland china.
However,
A lot of the new mega cities are developing into greater, modern consumer mega centres with skyscrapers & massive shopping centres than even Hong Kong. These places have their own goods-loving young wealthy folk. But They are less "hip/street" than the Hong Kong kids, so more likely to buy some louis vuitton than streetwear stuff.
