I'm meeting skive just before 6 at Souths Coach and Horses, aiming to leave there at 6. It's probably easier to meet up there as it's only a couple of minutes from Clapham Common anyway. Can't wait, it should be an epic day.

there is literally no way of getting to the start without going up a fuck off hill. i live round the corner and one of them always features in my journey home from anywhere. the easiest hill imo is through greenwich park, the big main road that cars go up. opens at 6am.

Surely Blackheath Hill/Shooters Hill are more gentle inclines.

change of plan.

I'm going via the foot tunnel so we can experience it in it's victorian splendour before they put LCD advertising boards up and completely destroy it's soul finish the refurb. this means leaving earlier and riding more slowly.

I'll happily lead a group from brick lane, get there for 0520 for a prompt depart 0530 if you wanna come along.

Ha! I just called Greenwich council, the foot tunnel is open until 0730.

Does one need to do this on a fixie? gutted as my fixie is out of action - tempted to do it on the roadie just to join in

Coach and Horses at 6 it is. I'll be on my heavy geared Kona, as my knees aren't feeling SS at the moment. Time to strip off the guards and rack before the ride so I'm not rattling all the time.

@rubix you can ride it on anything. i will be riding a geared bicycle. the most important thing is that you try to enjoy yourself and dont knock anybody over
