I am being constructive, unlike the condescending crap that mdcc_tester came out with. Do you really think that Fitz is worried about how stiff his front end is or the rails on his saddle? He has his bike for 2 reasons; 1. To get from a to b and 2. To look nice.
I don't have a problem with that, fashion with the very slightest loss of function. Almost everyone on here does it, hell, this thread would not exist if people were not so conscious about the way their bikes look.
I have never heard of a seat rail snapping, fair enough the front end might not be as stiff as it could be. I think the chance of bending the steerer is very remote indeed. And, I agree with VV, think it looks alright, not my cup of tea but I have seen a lot worse.
mdcc_tester has a mental amount of knowledge and i respect that. What he said was trivial though, but hiding behind banality is just boring.
