These guards are simply a 20mm wide ally strip with milled edges and stainless steel stays, and are a perfect addition to a classic lightweight bike.
Their advantages are lack of rattling, the ability to act as a gentle support for saddlebags, and that they don't compromise tyre clearance like modern guards, particularly in the chainstay area. They are very light, too, and look gorgeous, espeaially polished.
They are embossed with the Salmon logo, and are in very good condition indeed. You can fit wither to dropout bosses, or via p-clips.
£20, about half the new price, when you last could get them.
Photos are of an identical pair on my Calud Butler / Duomatic scorcher. The items for sale are in better condition and are clean!
