Thinking about it I have changed my position on rep. It is clear that if we still had it Balki would be top of the pile because, inexplicably I think, people seem to like his home-grown brand of whimsy and his penchant for cake-based hilarity. Now, it's not to my taste and who am I to tell members that they have misjudged the whey-faced dog fondler, but I still wouldn't be comfortable having him as our leading light. For one thing the only time I have ever heard Balki talk about bikes was when he said my saddle reminded him of a tarte tatin that he once ate in a Turkish bath. "Fucken steamy" were his exact words. So, just to be on the safe side, I have concluded that bringing back rep would be a bad thing after all.
Thinking about it a bit more the chances are that by now, had we still got rep, Clive's arse on its own would have four green squares. Surely that is not something this forum, or any forum, even an arse-based forum devoted entirely to arses, would be proud of?
