    Everybody please remember what the 'TORY' means ... it's derived from an old Irish word meaning thief. They are scum, always will be.

    I think it was more 'outlaw' than 'thief', used to insult people who resisted Cromwell. Other than that you are spot on. My parents were what you might call old Labour, or even conservative-labour, with a lot of narrow minded and prejudiced views on social matters but they were never fooled by the notion that the party that had blighted their, and their parents' lives, could or would ever want to change. Every single thing that had made their lives happier. healthier and longer, and every opportunity given to their children, came from Labour governments in the teeth of Tory opposition. The same greedy, hateful scum that tried to prevent the NHS ever being started have their modern day equivalents in the Conservatives who talk about small government and 'incentives' for the unemployed and "Big Society".
