Jonny there's been one locked in the bike rack here at work for over a year, where the rest of the bike was stolen in a bit of an epiclockingfail situation.
Might be time for me to liberate. I'll go down and have a smoke and check out the details...

tom that is potentially good news. i particularly like the smoking bit.

Yep, it's there alright. Can't see any branding on the hub or rim but the wheel is in good condition and is rocking a brand new Maxxis 700c x 35 tyre.
Only problem is that its locked with an Abus D lock and all my tools have already been sent to the 'Dam. If you've got a way for us to get the lock off then we've got your friend sorted.

Have one at home, any good?
Would swap it for a skewer so I can replace the wheel. -

Ah, sorry.
I have a wheel but it's in SE23 which might not help you now.I was after the possibility of trading it for a front wheel skewer as I need one for the wheel I'm replacing it with.
Make a the sense yes?

i've got new front wheel of a charge plug for sale if thats any good? (takes fairly wide tryes)
-
• #12
okay, little misunderstanding with wicksie means i am still in the search. anyone?
jj1, that might work but understand that i am trying to get something cheap as chips for what is a fairly old hybrid. reckon on a new wheel from a plug will break the 25 notes budget - but please correct me if i am wrong ;)

Similar situation to OP. Mate at work had her front wheel driven over this morning so needs a 700 front wheel suitable for hybrid ASAP.
Anyone got something true and working floating about that could get her back on the road without shelling out for a new one?
Based in London Bridge/Vauxhall
Cheers

I'll trade for a half-decent 28c tyre
just trying to help a work colleague who came back to their bike to find something heavy had ridden over it. anyone got anything would be much appreciated.
cheers,
