Hi,
Regarding 3rd party lenses for DSLRs:
Managed to get a Vivitar 200mm f/3.5 (Nikon F-mount) for not too many dorrah (old, used and manual focus). I've a Nikon 300mm f/4.5, but with the crop factor of the DX sensor that meant 450mm on a 35mm. And that was a bit too long for my needs. (As is the 800mm f/8 Samyang mirror I have. 'Tis a nice toy, but nothing else.)
Not that it would make that big a difference anymore as I've already paid for the lens, but would still like to know if anyone here might have any experience with Vivitar and the glass in question? Though it would be a good idea to get that one. Then again, could be that I just bought shit. (The serial number would point to Kiron, which, I think, was one of the better manufacturers).
