thanks a lot for the pictures mcflute.. sadly much as i'd like to be able to have it i think it will be a shade too big for me.. it's a real shame, that is the exact bike (minus the mudguards) that i used to love as a kid.. i've been looking for one for ages, this is only the second one i've seen anywhere in the last couple of years. this was the top road bike of the Dawes range.

it's also the bike i was trying to find to disagree with someone over never using white for tape and saddle - wine red with chrome with white - beautiful. best of luck with the sale...it looks to be in very good condition for its age.

come have a potter if you like, try convincing yourself it is right, seems like you would be the ideal custodian for it...
