  • Cemetary Junction - Merchant/Gervais effort. Bit gentle, there were some good lines dotted about here and there, and as ever, Julia Davis was criminally funny (and totally under used), but it was very much like ITV doing Shane Meadows - everything tied up very nicely at the end.

It also had that ludicrous thing that British films do with the 60's and 70's (see also The Boat that Rocked - well, don't watch it, just trust me when I say it's a version of the 60's so far removed from reality it may as well have been an Austin Powers movie) - Reading Town, a dull as dishwater place in 1973, yet towards the end of the film, the characters end up in a club on a Friday night, in Reading, a club replete with a full 10 piece funk band, including a 'three hot black chicks with afro' vocal section - cue some overly dressed up extras pulling off step perfect Northern Soul style back drops, spins and scissor kicks! Ridiculous....

Felicity Jones is (dare I say?) fucking amazing looking. If there was a 'British Actress looking like a British Actress' award, she would win hands down!
