Spotted Dog in Willesden?
Up the road from where I grew up. Always thought it looked a bit ropey/rapey in there. -

All (most) of the Irish pubs in Digbeth are great. Also, cheap cocktails at Island Bar are great!

spotted dog is my vote - plenty of room in the back garder where i reckon they'd let us park bikes too. we're going there this wednesday nyquil, so come and join if you can bear lots of interminable polo-talk.
also, come down for a game, on the evidence of this weekend, none of us are 'good at it'!!!

cheap cocktails at island bar?!?! does such a thing exist? is it a mixture of tap water, ice and lemon?

hare n hounds in kings heath is my local but the prince is moseley is handy for a post work pint ( plus you can take your bike into the garden there )
the newly reopened station is looking good with a nice big beer garden and a good choice of ales but i don't think theres a way of getting bikes in there without dragging them in through the main bar -

Any 2 cocktails for £7, early evening, week nights I believe.
£3.50 a cocktail is dirt cheap. Especially when some of them have hella alcohol in them. They do all that spinny shakey business too which is cool! Plus you can lock up outside to the posts/fence and keep and eye on your bike.

yeah, that is pretty reasonable - i've only been there on weekend evenings when it's pretty standard prices. but you're right about the bar staff - the spinny stuff doesn't bother me but they hold many orders in their heads and work on several drinks at once so that you can get served in a 4-deep queue twice as fast as in the bloody fighting cocks. the staff in there have mastered the 'carry something around so it looks like your working' trick...

I found the spinning to be impressive. But then again, I am attracted to shiny objects too! Also, I felt like a propper gent sipping a nice cocktail not a scummy pint of Carling!
where do you guys drink? I usually drink in the fighting cocks mosley, or prince of wales, ...plenty of crazy fuckers to entertain you there. in selly i usually drink in the pear but can get a bit shit in there.
maybe start going to a place in town where riders can meet..any suggestions?
