    RALEIGH PRO TRACK FRAME 1973
    Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 44mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Raleigh track frames of the 1970s were some of the very best track frames available then and were ridden by many top trackies including more than one World Champion. This frame from 1973 was almost certainly built for sprinting rather than pursuiting with the long extension pieces from the BB shell back along the chainstays. It is in very sound condition with just one small dent caused by a handlebar on the side of the top tube. As with most track frames produced at Carlton’s Worksop works in the 1970s the clearances are tight combined with steep angles. £245 SOLD

    STEVE GOFF TRACK FRAME 1998
    Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 44mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This is a really gorgeous track frame with typical track frame close clearances and steep head/seat tube angles – strangely it has mudguard eyes – it would be very difficult if not impossible to fit mudguards unless you ran 18mm tyres... Its obviously bee built for road use with rear brake cable stops and seatstay bridge for a brake. Its workmanship is really excellent. The chrome is in very good/excellent condition and the paint is very useable – it has been touched quite well. £245

    BRITISH EAGLE TOURISTIQUE FRAME 1980s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 62cm (24.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 125mm
    Wheel size: 700C
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
From the middle 1980s this British Eagle Touristique touring frame is in very nice condition just ready to be built up into a very good tourer. Its fitted with braze-ons for cantilever or V-brakes and also has fittings for a rear rack. Large frames such as this are really not very common. £95

CLAUD BUTLER COUREUR FRAME Early 1960s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 118mm
Wheel size: 27in or 700C (brake drop 60mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This Holdsworth made Claud Butler road frame from the 1960s has very nice original paint – its certainly not perfect but very useable. It will make an excellent budget conversion to fixed or singlespeed. £47 SOLD

    GILLOTT ROAD FRAME 1954
    Seat Tube (ctt): 51cm (20in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27in or 700C (brake drop 58mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Gillott frames are some of the most consistently well made classic frames with really a very high standard of workmanship – just take a look at the quality of the detail in the fork crown. This frame built from Nervex Pro lugs and Reynolds 531 double butted tubing is really very nice indeed and will restore to make a stunning frame. Its proportions are pretty much ideal for a small frame. The rear ends are Simplex and the gear hanger has been replaced with a Campagnolo type. £175 SOLD

    COUGAR ROAD FRAME c1990
    Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
    Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 50mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
    Frame tubing: Columbus SLX
This is a rather good late 80s I think road frame built by Cougar of Liverpool from Columbus SLX tubing. The paint is generally very sound except around the BB shell area – this could easily be locally repainted. An excellent basis for an Audax/Sportive frame which is capable of taking guards with 23/25mm tyres but not needing deep drop brakes. It would also make a very good fixed/singlespeed conversion. £89 SOLD

    RALEIGH ROAD FRAME 1988
    Seat Tube (ctt): 59cm (23.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 48mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 butted frame tubes and forks
This is a very good 1988 built Raleigh road frame which will make an excellent conversion. £83

    RALEIGH RECORD ROAD FRAME
    Seat Tube (ctt): 59cm (23.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 50mm)
    Seatpost size: 25.4mm
This frame despite the transfers is a Raleigh Record from the 1980s – it will make an ideal conversion and is in very sound condition. The right hand dropout is easily filed out to match the left hand one... £35 SOLD

    TOM CROWTHER ROAD FRAME
    Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 48mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Tom Crowther was one of the original partners in Mercian but in the mid 1960s went off to run a bike shop under his own name. This frame dating I think from the later 1970s is extremely nice but the vertical dropouts make it far less suitable for conversion to fixed or singlespeed. The paint is in excellent condition with only a few small marks. £145 SOLD
