• 700c 32h Orange Velocity Deep V, with Blue BLB Flip Flop hub(think its formula rebranded as BLB) and Blue Spokes, built by...BLB. Has a white wall, blue tread gommitalia logosport tyre on it. Perfect condition, no chips or scratches. Also comes with a free BLB 19t Cog on the back because the bike shop in my tiny town doesn't have the tool to get it off...not that you'll have a problem with that in London or will probably be able to do it yourself. Or keep it on. £75

  • Whoa, did you give up hipster-ism for lent?

  • quite a minor hipster purge in some respects, theres been worse

  • Your LBS doesn't have a chain whip?

  • Shit jokes welcome.

Why did the Baker have brown hands????

    Because he kneeded a poo!!

  • Your LBS doesn't have a chain whip?

to be honest i don't even know the tool you need to get it off, they just told me they didn't have to tool. to be fair they may be complete retards.

  • how small is that shop?! they must have seen a fixed hub before

  • how small is that shop?! they must have seen a fixed hub before

They sell shitty moutain bikes that weigh 20kg to dumb uni students with a 300% markup. I remember him saying something about him never seeing fixed gear bikes haha.

    They might be complete retards??

You spend over a G on a bike on a fashion accessory you have ridden 7 times and can't even perform basic maintenance on.

    Hmmmm....

fair enough, you're the one questioning them though, i am admitting my ignorance. No I have never removed a cog before, I am very sorry to have offended you.

  • i think what slimjim was getting at was that if you are going to use something on a regular basis, that you should have a small amount of technical / maintenance knowledge, just in case, and for fixed gears cog removal is a minor piece of knowledge

    true

  • well i'm proficient in the use of an allen and know how to change a tire :)

Like I said in the listings for this, I rode this bike for 2-3 months, I never needed to change the rear wheel or cog so I never learnt how to take it off(or purchased whatever tool was necessary). If I had, i'm sure I would know. If I owned a bike shop, i'd definitely know and have the tool. Isn't that why you guys were expressing disbelief anyway?

  • What size are the bars?

  • your lbs are retards. fact.

  • ha!

  • Dibs on the spok

  • What size are the bars?

  • Your LBS doesn't have a chain whip?

Presuming there is a lockring on there, they probably didn't have the lockring tool.
I mean, if they don't sell any bikes with fixed hubs then why would they?

i thought chain whips had lockring tools built in, mine does.
