No sure on a date - I'll have a look to see if it is marked on the frame anywhere but would guess at late 70's early 80's
Tokaicarl it is a cyclocross frame I think - these won practically everything cyclocross in their day

L'Eroica require the bike to be pre 1987
The downtube is stamped Alan 82 - which I guess points to it being built in 1982
But the BB is stamped 223088 - so maybe 88, but I don't think they still made this then.
So it's not pre 1980, but that doesn't matter for L'Eroica. It's either '82 or '88. I think '82 more likely.
