Wanted: Deore/LX/XT Front mech (and other bits, maybe)

I was trying to put together my girlfriends touring bike today when I noticed the front mech is fuckered (spring is busted). Need to replace it, so might as well upgrade while I'm at it (it has sora).

So. LX front mech, triple chain ring, band on, it's alu, and fat, so I'm guessing 34.9 clamp? (I had an old 105 mech from a steel road bike that didn't fit, or come close to fitting).

Also, if someone has some other LX bits they're will to let go for cheap (canti brakes, rear mech [8 speed]), let me know.

Got an xt front mech that would do you and a pair of xt calipers (one has the original brake pads, although the inserts need replacing). PM me an offer if you fancy them.

I have no idea how much this stuff is worth, but I'll go have a gander at ebay.

just checked and the front mechs 31.8, If you're still interested. All the kit is well used but it still works, and could be made sexy with fairly minimal effort. The chrome on the inside of the cage on the front derailleur has bubbles and flaked a little, but out of sight is out of mind ;) not sure if the noodly cable guide things on the brakes are original either.

31.8 is going to be too small :(

I have XT front and rear mechs, an LX rear, and a full set of LX cantis too. Pretty sure XT front is 34.9 too, ill check.

So I got a front mech, XT, right size (was actually 31.8, I was wrong), but forgot to say bottom pull! Anyone have a bottom pull they'd swap for top, or are selling for cheap?

Ive got some bits including the shifter set, but it doesnt seem you want those?

I remember now, I have a hub too. With centre lock disc mount.
