My old/new bike

  • I was gutted when I snapped my Charge Plug frame at the 14 bike co valentine's party, but luckily John Cooke and Lee Cooper, the framebuilders for 14, agreed to sort me out with a snazzy new setup for the front. It's 3.5cm longer than before and 653, not high tensile. Not to mention it's a beast of a bike, complete with a bridge and a sweet stealthy black paintjob.

  • Did they ask you to tell everyone that they sorted you out too? Is it some kind of endorsement deal?

  • Not really I've been good mates with john for years and I know there's a few people who may like some modification work done too and these guys are a good source so I thaught I'd pass on the info

  • Snapped a Charge Plug frame? I thought that was nigh on impossible. Did it snap at the weld?

I can't imagine it snapping anywhere along a heavy piece of unbutted tubing.

  • It was about an inch down on the downtube http://vimeo.com/9509529
