I have never heard of a political party that has a change to cycling manifesto,
- unenforacable
- WOFTHAM
- Absolutely no advantage for either road users (all of em) or cyclisyts
- Ukip are a bunch of cunts.

Even voting liberal is a wasted vote.
I'm not too sure it's not true of voting for labour and conservative either
No vote is a wasted vote.

No vote is a wasted vote.
I'm convinced. I take everything back.

Fuck it, for the first time ever, I'm not voting.
With all due respect "FOOL!", sorry about that, nothing personal but people who wave the disenfranchised card are in for a nasty shock when they discover how bad things can and will get if the tories get back in.
The only good Tory is a dead Tory.

They do record spoilt ballots
I support horatio on this
I tend to vote for the underground resistance each time I go to the polling booth even though mad mike banks is not on the list
a spoilt ballot indicates you have the intention to vote but that you would not want any of the cunts representing you
the other alternative is green
when I was 16 I met jonathon porrit then leader of the green party.
He was v clear that his party would never get into power but that each vote they got would make the other parties increase their green policies
if you ever wish to understand why voting for any of the main parties is a complete waste of time please watch yes minister and yes prime minister
I have the complete set on DVD just to remind me how futile our piss poor political system is
would love to say "rant over" but I have probably only just begun

wiganwill, will you be mine and velo's best man?
Great, the son in law I have have always dreamed about. Still, I could brick him up in the attic and lace his one meal a day with sedatives so it's not all bad.

I'll vote for anyone who merges it with the car thread.
Should we start a thread for different options?

I can not and will never understand the dunce cunts in the country who complain about the state of the main parties but when you suggest a non-big-three party, they'll tell you "its a wasted vote".
proper plums
agreed. The Lib-dems have seats in Lewisham/southwark. Brighton is green owned. Rather vote for a small party or an independent. Or spoil the vote.
If you don't vote, don't let me catch you whining. Or leave.

bullshit. Whilst their are massive flaws in democracy, if this is what we have i would love to have a voice and a vote and a choice. as it stands i don't feel that I am being offered any of these things, and as such I am disengaging with their electioin process, so as not to legitimise it.
In Burma they are having elections, the main oppositoon arn't standing as they are such sham elections, so people that don't want to vote in these elctions does the same thing stand? -

What if you live in Witney? Not all of us can be so lucky as to live in Lewisham/southwark (ugh) or Brighton. And even then, we're talking about national policies.
A minority government would be awesome.

.I don't live in those places either. But if you keep to one of the big parties, they won't change anything. They're useless.

Growing up in Wigan (it was the early post-war years and rationing was still in force but you could leave your front door open without fear as long as you weren't a gay or homosexual) they used to say that Labour could put up a monkey for election and it would still win. Now I live in Hackney and the same could be said; except my MP is Dianne Abbot and the monkey joke might easily be misinterpreted so we will say a sack of potatoes. A vote for any other party is wasted if the aim of the vote is to elect an MP. A spoiled ballot - as Horatio says - *might be more to the point if there are enough of them and they are counted. But no one fought any war so that you had* to vote; they fought, in part at least, so you had the right to vote or not to vote.
It is. Tell me why it's not? If the goal of voting is to elect someone, then surely there should be some sort of correspondence between who people vote for and who is elected. Unfortunately, there is not.
