I assume you can juggle? I think that's a requirement whilst on a unicycle.

Hey! I also live in oxford and got a Uni 2 weeks ago -
If you want a good one to learn on I suggest these freestyle24' club freestyle http://www.firetoys.co.uk/juggling/Nimbus_Unicycles.html
basically they have all the manoveribility of the 20's with a slightly larger wheel so you can go further - ( So down the woodstock road to the train station is not so hard - even down the canal if you get good). PERFECT FOR OXFORD.... No problems down the pebbly turl street...
If you are a beginner that is all you need - 24' wheel is great I've been learning 2 weeks now and use it to get from summertown to wolvercote at a slight jogging pace... Not too much strain on the legs
After you master the 24' uni then you can move onto 30'+ wheels, but they would be WAY TO HARD to start off with... the 30' wheels would get you anywhere even across america in some cases....
Anyway where was I, That website does next day delivery which is really good and the cycle is cheaper than unicycle.com!
Anymore questions PM.... (Ps.. Dont get orange frame.. ITS MY COLOUR.... we dont want to bump into eachother with same frame now do we....)

fucking Oxford people!
I kinda wanted one recently too.
They're MASSIVE in switzerland at the moment- every kid has one.
I know this is on the wrong forum but I thought that it would be ok, given that unicycles are sortof fixed gear...
Been really wanting to get a hold of a unicycle for a while now. There are only 20'' ones (too small) on ebay (although there is a 36'' one on there at the moment...a big too big...and too expensive for now: I'm a beginner).
Does anyone have a old one lying around they want to get rid of, or know where I can get a used one? Or maybe I can borrow one for a few months?!
I'm looking for something 24'' and up, with a long seatpost (I'm 6'2'' or so)...
I live in Oxford, but travel to London often....
any suggestions, offers, thoughts appreciated.
thanks
