  • It was drunken cheering, I was in the moment!

  • ^^ nowt wrong with that.

That guy is wearing Specailized shoes with Argyle which is hardly on.

  • That guy is the General. As he is from the north, he has no taste and so his choice of shoe / sock combo is fine.

  • Apologising for northerners? This was the same slippery slope that started the downfall of our great empire.

So says the man from Swindon..........

  • Apologising for northerners?

I would probably descirbe it as pitying northerners rather than apolgising for.

  • You had me worried, I thought you might be a bit of a communist and we all know where that leads.

  • from the article alien mentioned. somebody needs to explain a thing or two to maccy

It's wonderful that you're doing this and fair enough to use Doctor Who to get some hits, but somewhere around 12 million people will have watched the first episode of Doctor Who since it aired a week ago. That's got to have more impact than 400 people cycling through London.

very nice article. can they do corrections as we didnt stop at a pub to judge the moustaches competition and a couple of other small errors

  • Thanks Teddy and everyone involved in organising such a brilliant event.

Thanks too to all the photographers, inc uncleyacov who captured my big nose and flying goggles with Leibovizian flair.

Next time I will find something more suitable for the lady to ride than the cherry red and anodised gold SE Racing cruiser that I put her at the weekend. And I might ditch the Colnago in favour of the Pedersen...

Good article by Matthew Sparkes wave in the Guardian.

    Waves back

I can help point you in the right direction for question No.1. Maybe PM me and we can talk in more detail as it depends if you want a new-ish robust replica for racing, touring and urban everyday riding or you are after an original ordinary. Have you ridden one yet? You are most welcome to pop by and have a ride on my pf. Great news that you want one - the more the merrier!

I'm not based in London, but next time I'm up I'd love to. Thanks! Keen to get a modern one if I do go for it. How much am I looking at?

  • You've actually linked to the forum, I think I love you.

  • Wow.

I seem to have avoided every single photograph taken!

Still - I take pleasure in being described as part of "a wonderful team of suave but firm stewards."

  • Hells yeah, don't worry me too

I did get rather confused by the end of the day, but are you not this fine gent?
    Could easily be wrong though!

  • Thats the one!

Name badge fail - next year can we have name badges that dont fall off/out of their holders?

  • Once people have found themselves, it may be worth resurrecting the Names and Faces to Tweed thread. I have yet to find one that shows my face properly although I've got a few good shots of my arse.

  • Ah - cheers Lucifer.

  • Pleasure, old stick.

  • does anyone have the group photo that I could use??
