I just happened to be on Jermyn street with my family at the time everyone set off - as a bystander it looked brilliant, London needs lot's more of this kind of event.
I'm posting on here though because of the serious *hole cabbie who was blowing a gasket, threatening the marshals and onlookers where the road was blocked at Jermyn St. He must have been there all of 30s before he started getting abusive, he got out and tried to wrestle with someone at one point, then got back in his cab and started to drive it into the marshals, everyone was yelling at him and he backed down. When some bloke on the pavement told him to calm down he got a mouthful of abuse and threats, all in front of the kids and other onlookers.
All the while the marshals were very, very calm, mostly apologising and asking him to be patient - huge respect to them.
I'm generally pretty tolerant of drivers and other peoples behaviour on the roads, we all eventually have to get on and I think things are slowly moving in the right direction, vast improvement to how things were 20 years or so ago at any rate. However, when you see someone behaving like this I just think they are a danger to us all and belong in the past, and off the roads. Seriously, enough of them!
Hiii All !
What an amazingly fun day! Great to meet so many lovely people and hopefully will bump into some of you again...at the 50 fixed ladies : )
I was also pushed over by a black cab near Haymarket (not the above incident) and would like to report it. A chap in tweed attire (bah!) was going to post the details for me......help are you out there?!
