Did you by chance buy this from the Netherlands (Dordrecht) as a full bike? Was in the market for buying this, but worried about it being bashed to bits/boobytrapped/carbombed by Islamic Militants.. Btw, my Concorde Astore is built with Columbus Chromor, but that one has a 27.2 seatpost.. Good luck with the sale!

No, I bought this as a frame a few months ago from someone in the U.K. I've never heard of an Astore being made from Chromor, all the info I've found says they are Aelle? How old is yours?

Btw, do you also have the italian flag "braze on"? And a sticker with "European Quality Product" or summing?

Hm.. Well, went on a search, but think it is an earlier version.. This thread also says "astore" and "cromor tubing".. Serial is 150409, but can't find anything on the web to date my frame with then.. What's the serial on yours? Cheers
No serial number on mine at all, just a 56 for the size. Some were made by Ciocc and some by other builders so I suppose that would account for some differences.

My Astore was in aelle tubing, not super light but stiff, and was 27.2, that had a chromed rear quarter.
It's now in the hands of Max. -

Could be interested, but may be a touch small. Is it 56 c-c for both top and seat tube? Are you open to offers? I am in Battersea so pick up not a problem. Can't PM yet as new to forum, but have been on Retrobike for a while now.

I'll measure it tonight and let you know. For what it's worth I'm 6' and it's perfect for me, my gf is 5'10 and it's too big for her. Near offers will be considered.

Oh dear, it looks as though it may be just right size-wise (I am around 5'11"). My wife will probably have my balls if I buy another frame, but it is really nice (weighs up loss of manhood against really nice frame). I'm off to smash open the piggy bank to see what's inside.

Measured it properly last night and it is 56 cc for both seat and top tube. I need to get some nuggets in my paypal account asap to cover some rash ebay purchases - someone make an offer!

If it matched my Green Arrow costume it would never be being sold in the first place...

I can ask him if there is...I think it may have had a number, though it definitely had cutouts.

Nah, it's not worth the bother as I'm not going to chase up a particular number, that's for a new owner to worry about if they want. This is from 88-90 so was almost certainly from Ciocc, although I have no idea about the U.S embossing and paint.

Piggy bank checked - would £130 be good enough (PayPal gift so no charges and quick pick up)?

David B has dibs at £170 with cinelli cdm bars, 1a stem and a 26.8 seat post. He's going to get back to me with a final answer tonight so I feel obliged to wait. I'll let you know if it falls through.
Concorde Astore with a great paintjob and nice cut out lugs. Sale is for frame, forks, headset and bb only. This one is painted in the U.S flag and has U.S stamped into the rear left chainstay so was probably a special build for someone or maybe for a U.S team? I'm not sure of the tubing however most Astore's were made from Columbus Aelle by Ciocc in Italy. The chrome is perfect and the paint is good, with only a few nicks and rub marks. The only damage to the frame is a scratch where the front derailleur was attached - see photos. Interestingly it looks like there is chrome under the scratch so I think the whole frame may have been chromed before painting. The seatpost is 26.8 (I will supply a matching post if necessary) and the Campag bb is Italian thread and also included. Dropouts are Campagnolo.
I was building this up for my GF (and myself...) but it is just a bit big for her. Pity.
