Is the route up anywhere? if not can you recommend spectating spots? Preferably near south Kensington, thanks

What's the etiquette regarding spectating?

I wouldn't mind seeing you lot go past, but on the other hand I don't want to cause teddy any problems (i realise free world... stand where i want... blah blah blah).

Are you heading east at any point on the ride? Whenish and where?

Easiest place would be in Kensington Gardens near Round Pond. About 1.30 I would estimate. Shouldn't be any problems spectating there.
