I will follow the norths tweed contingent wherever (mainly because I don't want to ride anywhere on my own wearing second-hand, mis-matched tweed, that may in fact be too tight to pedal in), but I agree that an additional hill seems unduly punishing, even if it is for a tasty breakfast.
(Already tight waistband may also deny the full English. Are the gentry thinner than us or something?)

I'm would be happy to go somewhere on the Archway Rd/ Tufnel Pk axis but couldn't think of anywhere that wouldn't feel odd/ rip the piss royally!

Kenwood might be up a hill but it's really lovely - would set the day off a treat - we would be stars rather than freaks.

I'm useless at breakfast places anywhere before midday (read pub) so honestly don't have any suggestions.

Kenwood may be a goer, but I will be walking the hill. One doesn't wish to win 'most agricultural smell of the day' award.

Kenwood sounds like a cracking idea, worth a walk up the hill.

I think I'll be visiting my city pad in St.John's Wood on Friday night so this would work better for me. There is also a splendid little establishment in Warwick Avenue, but I admit it's a bit of a detour.
