  • don't get the SKS Rennkompressor with the Shraeder end and Presta adaptor. Mine ceased to be air-tight after a month. better would be the model referred to as having the "Classic" head. is capable of over 200psi.

We've had a rennkompressor on shop floor duty for 9 months. The original tube and schraeder/presta adaptor lasted for about 6 or 7. That's a VERY long time when you factor in 3 or 4 customers using them every hour, and most of the time thoroughly abusing it and using it incorrectly.

The seal on the presta adaptor is adjustable and replacable. The beauty of that unit is that it is infinitely fixable with minimal effort. If the presta seal failed on our pump, it was normally resolved by disassembling it and re-adjusting the fit of the metal outer casing, or simply chucking in a new rubber seal which cost all of 3 pence.

We only had to swap out the end after some retard tore off the entire hose/nozzle and stood on it.
