Had your blue Condor stolen?

Posted on
  • Has anyone lost a blue Condor? PM me with description, location of frame number etc. Might be able to re-unite you.

  • Knight in shining armour-bravo for making the attempt! Good luck with it-hope you get a nice reward from a happy owner!

  • Extensive enquiries reveal nothing. Gumtree ad next, then I might just buy the thing and accept its a bargain!

  • There doesn't seem to be anything recently in the stolen bike thread about a blue Condor http://www.lfgss.com/thread123-72.html if you just found it in the street, i guess put up a couple flyers near were you found it??

Great effort with reuniting it with its owner hope you succeed.

  • It's being offered for sale suspiciously cheaply. I mean ridiculously, double-figures cheaply! Its not an old Condor but a very nice recent one. If I cant locate an owner in the next couple of days Im just gonna have to buy it, hang it in the cellar, do more reasearch and hope to get the money back. I'd rather that than let it stay in the scroat-circle. Its reported to the police, and ive asked in Condor, given them the frame number etc. I hope they might contact the original buyer.

  • oh sorry my bad for misunderstanding. Wow you really are pulling out all the stops to find the owner, on top of the other two bikes you helped re-unite with owners.

Are you on some kinda mission? Either that or you've got some pretty hefty good Karma!

This was on the stolen bike thread.

  • ^ I hope you've PMed the owner?

  • @pistanator, thanks, but this isnt a pista, or anything like one. Thanx for the heads-up though.

  • Top marks for effort here fella. Hope it gets reunited if it is indeed stolen.

  • If you want you can get in contact with Condor - quoting the frame number, they should be able to let you know who's it is. Although depends on how old the bike is.

  • @taogeogheganhart, see below. drew a blan, but if htey can come up with something then fine.

Update. I now have the bike, plus a photo of the seller. I dont really want it - not my kind of thing. I'll keep trying a little longer, but in 28 days, the police will hand possesion over to me. After that, I'll advertise it, with profit to CTC Cyclists Defence Fund, and if someone can prove its theirs, they can have it for what I paid.

Someone just PMd me asking why not the LCC instead of CDF. Im doing work with LCC, and negotiating for more work, so it would be a conflict of interest, sorry.
