Following the success of last years offering, the second Guinness ride will be held the evening of Friday, 30th April 2010.

The venues and timings are as follows

    6:00 Royal Oak, 355 Kennington Lane, SE11 5QY

Within a snipers bullet of the MI5/6 building on the southbank, a traditional old style boozer, with excellent Guinness, and a courtyard area down an allyway on the right hand side of the pub for bike storage, is a natural starting point, as for the first ride.

    6:45 O'Neills, 65 Cannon Street, EC4N 5AX

The pub is at the Mansion House tube end of Cannon Street, and close to the junction with Queen Street. There is a pedestrian area outside the pub so we can keep an eye on the bikes, whilst enjoying a pint in the balmy spring evening sunshine.

    **7:30 Filthy McNasty's, 68 Anwell Street, London EC1R 1UU

Slightly tricky to get to, but worth the trip for an excellent pint in an interesting part of central London. Aim for either Roseberry Avenue, or Mount Pleasant sorting office, and you are nearly there.

8:15 The Toucan, 19 Carlisle Street, off Soho Square, W1V 5RJ

The spiritual home of the Guinness ride, and the natural "final destination." A rammed madhouse at the best of times, so again outside will be the logical location.

and finally, for the remaining brave souls.

9:30 onwards.... The Soho Theatre Bar, 21 Dean Street, London, W1D 3NE

Joe Garcia has graciously offered us the chance to finish the evening at his excellent venue, a short bar spin from The Toucan. There is a courtyard to the rear of the bar, so we can be assured of security for the bikes.

Everyone is welcome, either on your finest fixie skidder, or on foot if the wheels are not to hand, and for the pista challenged.

I would ask that Guinness shirts, and St. Patrick's Day foam hats are found, and dusted off, to add to the theme of the evening. It will also ease following fellow forum members as we navigate around central London. Gok Wang says this season it is all about green and black, so all you fashionistas have been warned.

Plans are afoot for spoke card, and other treats, so book the evening, and see you all there.

Finally, in memory of the late, great, and sadly missed 50/14, I am suggesting no locks. Buddy up with a fellow Guinness admirer, while one guards the wheels, and the other orders in the stout. Would also help with a swift getaway, not that there will be any colourful behaviour or singing.......

    Regards.
