Agh, Hope it's not a fatality. My thoughts are with the victim and loved ones.
That new bus lane is mental. It feels like riding against the traffic and no doubt confuses the bejesus out of people trying to cross the road.

How awful it that's true. Hopefully not!
Camden Cycling Campaign argued that it should be open for cyclists, but I don't think their advice was followed. It would be better to make the area fully two-way.

If you think that is bad, wait and see the changes in the Highway code. New contraflow cycle lanes on Bus Lanes, Bus Drivers are getting Nervous about it, One to blame at that changes in London, B....F....J....
Not quite sure what you mean--the last HC revision was in 2007 and I wasn't aware that a new one was on the cards?

I didn't think you were joking--I just don't know what you're referring to?

Could you give me a reference point where you got the news from?
Pedestrian down on the new bus contraflow system along Bloomsbury lane. There was a police cordon with a bus inside, and no sign of the pedestrian or ambulance.
On my way past another rider shouted that it was a pedestrian fatality, but I am not sure for certain.
Hopefully not.
This contraflow system only just opened this week, and I wondered if something like this was going to happen. Seeing as people will not be used to traffic coming the other way when crossing, etc.
