There were 19 riders, 18 returned to the Maypole in the pouring rain. Eddie smashed it in one hour with most riders that completed all checkpoints arriving back between one hour and a half and one hour and three quarters.
Only five or six completed all checkpoints, most missed Shelford and Trumpington and incurred time penalties based on the average time taken to complete the whole thing. Thanks to some clever maths by Devon, Julian and Bogey we (ahem... they) worked it all out.
Matt Roberts (Slammin') carried his bike back to the finish having completed three checkpoints and getting a puncture at Addenbrookes. Heyden went out on his laydee's bike and came back after 40 minutes because he needed a replacement camera. Most people's maps completely disintegrated. A secretive rider ; ) lost their spoke card with their rider number halfway round. Almost everyone went to the checkpoint that was on someone's front garden : )
Next time hopefully there will be better weather, more riding, less soggy map reading.
