Someone (Gabes? Rik?) mentioned that Geneva were playing with similar goals, but made from 63mm piping - the stuff we make the big mallet heads with - and the weight was good.

I costed getting the joints for making one goal;

8 x elbows and 4 x Ts = £172! This includes a good discount, doesn't include postage.

Was thinking about the weight thing you could just drop some lead rod (or similar) in there rather than liquid.

Actually in theory you could make one with a stretched inner tube inside the tubing , like tent poles. get on it dan.

After Dan brought his to Downham he suggested, instead of those little uprights on the sides, at the back, you could have two cross supports between the crossbars, hence 4 Ts. I did a nice wee drawing but for some reason I can't upload it. bums.
