Analog film photography and cameras

if you really want to get a decent scan quality, those Nikon Coolscan V ED are the best to go for, it make RAW files appear very limited in comparison to the sheer range of the scanner, it can go up to 21 megapixels, depending on the films though, poorly shot negative will appear even more grainy for instance.

Ed- Nikon pulled the plug on the V Ed in 2008 along with the 5000 last year. They only have the 9000 now but for how long is anyone's guess. They want out of the scanner market.
