It's apparently a bad break through the knuckle and jammed the bone into the joint. My pinky was lying horizontally across the back of my fingers which made me decide to go to the hospital rather than work.

Sounds nasty, Dale. It's the same fracture as mine, but your metacarpal is probably detached and dislocated. Hopefully the will set it right straight away.
I almost had pins fitted, but as the bone was roughly in a straight line, they left it alone. it sound like you will need a surgery. I'm very sorry for you, mate.
